Critical is quickly ramping up with a handful of applications already closed.
-I spoke with the venue caretakers about an update on the contract last week, it should be completed shortly. They informed me that the all hours sound camp should not be a problem, so we are hopeful we got it!
-Directed Sales were a huge success, we had 31 camps apply! For comparison, we had 31 camps all together last year. General applications opened on the 26th, and so far we have had 4 additional camps apply. This is great news and promises to have high participation with numbers like that in early march!
-We recently had another lead step down due to life, but we currently have 5 folks waiting to be interviewed for 3 positions!
-The communications, productions, and spacement teams put their heads together and made a comprehensive survival guide for theme camps. http://www.criticalnw.org/theme-camp-survival-guide/
-Myself and Sunshine (associate producer) are currently planning a video to be released end of April. It will be an engaging/fun approach at teaching about the 10 principles and a few important notes from the survival guide.
-We will be hosting a theme camp/artist lead mingle in Georgetown next Saturday March 11th, to give participants in charge of large projects a chance to get to know the department heads relevant to them, and ask whatever questions they may have.
We are currently planning on how to facilitate more participant facing gatherings in the lead up to the event.
Thats it for now, much more to come soon!
